to add a new clean Stylish closet for 2012. :-)))*

Don't be afraid to clean your closet and throw away those old shabby clothes that has been collecting dust, or just out of fashion. You worked hard throughout 2011, now you deserve to look good and Stylish for 2012.
You'll look better, you'll be admired by your colleagues and your wife, girlfriend, family members and friends will love it.

And you'll keep those Fashion Police away from you, deal! :-)))*

Sorry, I just decided to divid it because it was to long, and too make sure you guys really get my point.

#13- Wrong belt color: if you’re wearing dress shoes, make sure the color of your belt matches the color of your dress shoes (for professional occasions). Also, the finish of the belt and shoes need to match. In other words, if your shoes are shiny, your belt should be shiny as well. If you’re wearing casual shoes or sneakers, make sure you wear a thicker casual belt to match instead of a thin dress belt.

#14- Improper tie length: a man’s should always end at the center of his belt buckle. A simple touch overlooked by many. Having a tie that’s too short or too long, can make a man look incompetent.

#15- Being too “buttoned” up: if a jacket has two buttons, only fasten the top button. If it has three buttons, you can close the top button only, the middle button only, or both the middle and top button. The key is to always leave the bottom button undone. This is a tradition that has been used for decades, and will keep your style looking smart.

#16- Wearing a Sports watch with very dressy clothes.

#17- Wearing a backpack with a suit: whenever I’m walking around the city, I see a lot of professional people wearing nice suits – but carrying backpacks! Okay, a backpack may be easier to carry over your shoulders than a briefcase in your hand, but you can also get a comfortable messenger bag that hangs across your chest to maintain a more professional look.

#18- Too much jewelry: all the jewelry a man needs are watches that will match different outfits, and a wedding ring if he’s married. If you’re young and you like necklaces, go for it. Don’t go around wearing three rings, bracelets, and a bunch of necklaces at the same time. It looks tacky. Try and limit yourself to no more than three pieces of jewelry.

#19- Comb-overs: your not fooling anyone by covering up your bald spot – you’ll look so much better if you keep it short and neat. It makes you look a lot more sharp and healthy.

#20- Wearing a crew neck tee under a dress shirt: pick up a v-neck undershirt and you’ll look much more laid-back showing some skin underneath.

#21- Dirty nails: some men just don’t take proper care of their hands. Sometimes it’s cracked cuticles and other times it’s just dirty fingernails. If you work outdoors or lift weights, wear gloves, and use lotion on your hand whenever you can. Keep your fingernails trim, and free of hangnails, cracked cuticles, and dirt.

#22- Keep your facial hair well groomed: the hair on your face should be orderly. Your face is the first thing noticed, and so maintaining your facial hair is important if you want to look sharp. Either keep a cleanly shaved face, or keep your beard trim. There should absolutely should be no hair underneath your chin on your neck area. It's not attractive!

#23- Hair in the back of their neck: hair on the back of your neck needs to be managed well. If you don’t get haircuts too often, use a small mirror to check the back of your neck against another mirror, and use a razor to shave any hair that’s growing on the back of your neck. This will keep you looking sharp and well-groomed.

#24- Using excessive amounts of hair product :be aware that looking like you have a bottle of hair product on your head never looks good. Your girlfriends wants to be able to run her fingers through your hair, not hurt herself doing it. Use a smaller amount than you think you need.

#25- Not taking care of that unibrow : keeping your eyebrows groomed is just as important as the hair on top of your head. Use a tweezer and pluck any hair above the nose.

"For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge, and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 1:5-8

Fashion Big no,no's Mistakes by Man

The most Fashion Big mistakes by Man
sorry guys, I'm trying to help ok? :-)))*

Still nothing to wear? Problem could be your closet's full.
Yes, that's right: full. Too full. Full of clothes too old, too shabby, overused,
too worn out, hackneyed, dopey or too marginal to wear.

Men are especially prone to holding on to items from their past--high school letterman jackets, favorite concert T-shirts, their first baseball mitt--things that are 10 or even 20 years old. The result: rows of ill-fitting, dated duds and stacks of shoes no longer fit to wear. Clothes that don’t fit - Overly baggy clothes will make you look you’re wearing sloppy hand-me-downs. If your body type makes it hard to find well-fitting clothes off the rack, make your tailor your best friend.

Fashion has no age. You just have the capture the idea and make it work for you. That's all! It's geared to men in general, young or old. If an item is fashionable one season, then it's fashionable across the board whether a man is 20, 30 or 50 years old. But as a more mature man, it's your choice to follow the trends or not.

The key to fashion is being able to identify trends, and then taking the aspects you like from those styles and including them in your wardrobe. Capture the idea!
In the end, it's all about choosing specific items that are trendy yet also suit your style.

Bargains Shopping Tips:
There is only one thing to say - buy on sale! After Christmas or season’s end sales are best. But don't buy something just because it is on sale or is a great deal. It should be something you would want to wear anyway and coordinates with your wardrobe. Also, if you find something on sale that may not have a perfect fit, don't be shy about taking it to a tailor. Buy comfortable clothes that make you feel confident and fit your style. Not just because it's cheap! In spite of skyrocketing prices everywhere, you can breathe a sigh of relief because it’s possible to be stylish on practically any budget this autumn. All you need are a few key pieces that you can mix and match with versatile accessories and you’re in business.

According to a survey conducted by Mervyn's department store, nearly 90% of the participants claimed that they do not know the difference between business attire, business casual and casual. But the workplace dress code that causes the most confusion is "business casual.
That's why I decided to help you guys out!:-)))*

Guys learn to love your body, flaws and all, six pack or one pack! :-)))* sorry!!!
It's what you got. So work with it!

#1- Wearing the wrong colors: it’s important to match the color of your clothes to your skin tone. You want the focus to be on you, not the overwhelming color of your shirt. If you have dark skin, you can either wear dark colors or bright colors that match the strength of your skin color. If you have very fair skin, lighter colors are most flattering on you – like soft pastels or icy colors.Wearing too many colors – Limit each of your outfits to a maximum of three colors or shades to maintain a coordinated look. If in doubt find a color wheel online and use it to help you choose your colors. Colors opposite each other on the wheel are “complementary colors.” Colors adjacent to each other are called “analogous colors.” When putting together an outfit, stick to complementary and analogous colors and remember that less is more.

#2- Mismatching styles: don’t wear your sporty Oakley sunglasses with a blazer, or a pair of cargo pants with the dress shirt you wear to the office. Keep your outfits coherent and matching in style.

#3- Wrinkled clothing: unless you’re going for the “I sleep in these clothes” effect, keep all your clothes pressed and wrinkle-free. It’s a good habit to always hang up all your clothes – never throwing them on the floor of your room after use.

#4- Oversized Branding: avoid clothes that make you look like a walking advertisement. The advertisers would love this, but why wear a huge logo or brand name on your shirt unless you’re getting paid to?

#5- Sweatpants in public: unless you’re going to the gym, avoid wearing sweats out in public. You’re not wearing them to look your best, you’re wearing them because you’re lazy.

#6- Too many prints: whether with casual clothes or dressy, avoid mixing too many patterns or prints together. If you’re wearing a suit, a good rule of thumb is to keep it to a max of two patterns. In other words, if you’re wearing a patterned suit, wear a solid shirt and a patterned tie, or if you’re wearing a solid suit, you can wear a patterned shirt and a patterned tie. But having a patterned tie, a patterned shirt, and a patterned suit can make you look too busy.

#7- Bulky pockets: I see a lot of guys walking around with bulging pockets. Spend some time taking out all those old receipts or business cards. If you need to hold on to them, keep them in a safe place and take them out when you need them. Get a slimmer wallet or a money clip to save space or a masculine bag.

#8 -Dirty and ugly shoes: it’s an area that too many guys overlook in terms of cleaning and proper care. A stylish man keeps his shoes clean – free of scratches and dirt. Clunky square toe shoes – Popular in the 1990s, fashion has now strayed far away from this non-classic look. They’ll probably never come back into fashion so lose them and get some slimmer and much more attractive shoes.

#9- Dress Shoes: if you’re wearing dress shoes, make sure the color of your belt matches the color of your dress shoes . Also, the finish of the belt and shoes need to match. In other words, if your shoes are shiny, your belt should be shiny as well.

#10- Casual Shoes: if you’re wearing casual shoes or sneakers, make sure you wear a thicker casual belt to match instead of a thin dress belt.

#11- Warped shoes: keep at least two pairs of dress shoes in the same color so you can let one pair rest for a day from sweat and stretching. Doing this prevents them from warping in unwanted ways. Place shoetrees in your shoes when you’re not wearing them to maintain their best form.

#12- Improper pants length: don’t fold up your jeans or your chinos. Your pants should not come down to the bottom of your shoes. Make sure they come just above the floor to avoid any unwanted fraying. All it takes is a simple trip to the tailor to get them hemmed.

"Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil (wrong) but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God." 3 John 1:11

Man's "must-haves" Summary

Summarizing the "must-haves"

Well guys, lets summarize the man's "must-haves" shall we?
I would like to take a moment to summarize all the facts that I presented earlier throughout the 13th pages.

While you're all digesting the list of those beautiful "must-have" lets wrap 'em up and recapitulate them one-by-one, one more time just to make sure you got it.

The sad thing is, most men need only Few items to look well dressed. Where the male wardrobe is concerned, quality always trumps quantity. Most pieces in a man's closet, says Scott, "just sit there, adding to the clutter" or worse, "concealing hidden gems."

Rule #1 - Clean your closet!
Rule #2 - Buy some decent stuff.

So here we go:

#1- a) "must-have" A navy blue Blazer/Sports Coat & a Leather Jacket

This navy Blue Blazer for example, if you choose to wear it with gray pants, then you should slip on a pair of burgundy shoes. With brown, beige and olive trousers, you're better off going with a pair of light brown or tan shoes. Finally, if you're really seeking a flawless look, then match your belt buckle and watch to the buttons on your blazer. So if your buttons are gold, then wear a gold buckle and a gold watch. With silver buttons, opt for silver accessories.

b)-Whether you're wearing a blazer or a leather jacket, a shirt such as a turtleneck, mock neck, V-neck, or crew neck all look great.
Leather jackets are never out of style and you can find in various shapes and sizes. Different lengths such as trench coat, knee, three quarter, and hip all dominate. Even square-shaped, leather bomber jackets have made their return.
The length you choose depends on your body type, your height, your style, and of course, your taste. Whatever the case, they are all equally stylish.
Popular colors for leather jackets are the traditional black and brown, both available in fashionable vintage leather -- which is actually very popular

#2- "must-have" Black Suit
How to wear your suits properly
Classic Look: Every man should own a pair of black leather cap toe lace-up shoes; they're a staple in any businessman's wardrobe. Shiny black five-eyelet lace-ups, bal wingtips and straight tip blucher shoes -- with or without perforated detailing on toes.
Pinstripe: For your pinstripes, opt for a smart pair of shiny posillipo shoes, patent leather formal shoes, or Santa Barbara shoes.
Formal: On more formal occasions, wear a pair of evening shoes, plain-toe shoes, or Albany shoes.
Trendy: Finally, ankle boots with a square or elongated pointy toe are riding high if you're seeking up-to-the-minute style. In the end, just remember that it's not all about what you're wearing, but rather how you wear it. Until next time, keep on stylin'.

It's traditional name was work pants. The word blue jeans became popular around 1960. Hard to imagine that back in 1885, that a pair of Levi overalls cost $1.25.There's a reason why this company has been around for over a century. Levis jeans come in several cuts, colors and lengths but the most popular and the classic is 501s. They sit right on your waist, and feature a straight leg ensuring a perfect fit on just about anyone. The term "Levi's," though, was not the company's--it originated with the public, just as the public invented the term "coke" for Coca-Cola. But when the public started referring to the pants generically as "Levi's," the company quickly trademarked it.

Surprises and let-downs of 2011!

Surprises

1. Hand lotion.

I never used hand lotion because I hate the way my hands feel afterwards. I can't touch anything, my hands are greasy, and I'd have to wash my hands right after applying lotion. I just didn't like to use hand lotion. My hands are never really dry all the time anyways. I have days when they are dry, but those are those days when I work in the lab a lot or do a lot of cleaning and therefore soaking my hands constantly. At some point I discovered a way to use hand lotion without getting the greasy feel. I just apply the lotion on the backs of my hands, not on the side the touches everything. So even then when I figured out how to apply hand lotion I didn't own any hand lotions. I got a hand lotion (BeSave!) from a blogger meet up, and I had bought an Elizabeth Arden set with hand cream, so I have been carrying them with me.

2. Liquid foundation

I used to think liquid foundation is really heavy and always makes me look like I am wearing foundation. I was wrong.

I am currently using two foundations by Clinique. Even better foundation in 3 Ivory (left) and Perfectly real makeup in shade 01 (right). I mix two drops of the Even better foundation with one drop of Perfectly real makeup to get my right shade. First I had the Even better, and 3 Ivory is the lightest shade, but on it's own it is too dark. Probably the perfect shade in the summer.

3. Estee Lauder lengthening mascara

The brush is really nice. It lengthens my lashes and doesn't clump. It doesn't give volume, but that I get by applying a volumizing mascara on top.

4. Korres lip butter

Mine is the Plum-shade. It gives you a lovely color to your lips and moisturizes. It is great! You can apply a thin layer or a thicker layer and that way control the color of your lips.

5. MAC Blacktrack fluidline

I used to hate gel liners. I don't anymore. I love this product!

Let-downs

1. Inglot freedom palette

There is nothing wrong with the product. Pigmentation of the shadows is great, but I just don't grab for the palette. I feel it was a waste of money.

2.  Max Factor Masterpiece mascara

The mascara itself isn't bad, but not great either. The price tag is horrible and the amount of product, especially compared to the price is horrendous. I got mine from a sale for 9.90€ ($12.76), but it has 4,5 ml of product! 4,5 ml!! 4,5 ml!!!

3. IsaDora Eyeshadow trios

I just don't like them. I think the colors are bland, they aren't pigmented enough and the dome-shape of the shadow is just horrible. The shadow creates a mess when you stick your brush in the shadow, the shadow just flies off of the dome.

4. Garnier Roll-on Anti-dark circles

The coverage is good. I love how light-weight it is. My eyes just react to it, they get somewhat irritated every single time I have used this product.

Disclaimer: I have bought the products myself, except for the BeSave hand lotion, and the IsaDora eyeshadow trios. Those two were given to me at a blog meetup's goodie bag. My opinions.

What are the products you loved in 2011 and what are those you didn't?

Before & After Makeup. So What?

Hello lovely readers! Finally I'm back to the blogosphere after the MIA for one week. All the midterm exams are finally over, but there will still be assignment deadlines, presentations and final exam ahead. They say time flies when you're on the run. 2011 is going to end real soon in two days' time and 2012 is approaching closer and closer. Happy new year in advance? LOL. Seriously I don't know how to start my blog post with a bang. Kinda lack of ideas and creativity to blog now because I start feeling sleepy in this chilly weather...

So, let's get straight to the point? ;)

Yours truly. Before and after.

This entry is inspired by Ling Luan NiNi (灵鸾妮妮), the famous Weibo & Tao Bao make up artist from China. If you don't know about her, you can see her amazing make up skill here:

I have been noticing people sharing her makeup tutorial photos on Facebook. Most of them are amazed at how different she looks before and after makeup. However, there are also quite a lot of offensive comments, especially from guys. For example...

"OMG girls are so fake nowadays!"

What's wrong with you guys? Is there anything wrong if she only look attractive after putting on makeup?!

" *Tag his girlfriend's name here* Please don't be like her! So scary!"

WHAT??? SCARY??? If there is no difference before and after, then WHAT IS THE POINT FOR WOMEN TO MAKEUP?!

"This is why makeup should be banned!"

WTF?! This comment totally sums up the attitude towards women with makeup from an extremist.

Guys, if you are looking for girls with flawless complexion, innocent eyes and naturally soft pink lips without wearing any makeup or cosmetic circle lens, I suggest that perhaps you should go back to your kindergarten? For those girls who are naturally good looking, the physical beauty is a gift of God to them. However, I believe that makeup is a gift from heaven to every woman. Not every woman can look glamorous without make up. If it's a norm for short girls wearing heels to make themselves look taller, then why not for those who makeup to make themselves look better?

Inspiring by Ling Luan NiNi's "Forever 18 Girly Younger Look' makeup tutorial which you can refer here, I have done a much simpler makeup tutorial for this entry. Hope this entry will be a useful tip for the beginners! :)

Me in the morning with messy and frizzy hair + nerdy look w/o cosmetic lens -____-
And makeup-free face with awful acne scars which I hate hate hate hate hate it!

First of all, the basics:

Products used: ZA Power Block UV Sunscreen, Beauty Credit Lovely Green Tea BB Cream,
ZA concealer & KATE Shimmer Loose Powder

After applying sunscreen and with Barbie lens on.

Apply this small amount of BB cream evenly on each side of the cheek.

Most of the time, I use my fingers to apply makeup because I don't have any makeup brushes.

Apply several dots of concealer on the dark eyes circles, nose wings & lip corners. NEVER RUB the concealer, ALWAYS TAP it on the necessary areas. I always fail to squeeze the concealer for the right amount, so I will apply those excessive concealer on my acne scars as well.

Loose powder is a MUST after foundation / BB cream because it set the makeup by reducing shine on the face and giving a matte finish look. I always twist and dab the powder puff as shown in the picture above to remove the excess powder on the puff.

Press the powder slowly and gently on the face.

CANMAKE Cheek & Cheek #01 & #04

After applying the baby pink blush. Not looking obvious in the photo because of the lighting.

Not to forget, use the pearl glitter powder to highlight the nose bridge.
This will make your nose to look taller and more prominent.

Secondly, the eye makeup.

Products used: Eyelash curler, L'oreal Double Extension au Serum Re-activant,
Fasio Power Stay Mascara & KATE reflect mirror eye shadow

I am using KATE dark brown eye shadow to draw my eyeliner with uplifted corner at the edge.

Suddenly comes out the idea with this GIF when sorting the photos :P

Highlight the inner corner of my eyes with KATE glittery pink palette but the colour looks more like silver white glitter.

Curl the lashes. Hold the curler upright for around 10 seconds.
Rub the fingertips and cover it over the lashes to create a warm 'perming' effect.

After curling the lashes, use the serum re-activant on the left side of L'oreal Double Extension Mascara to extend your lashes longer.

Using my favourite Fasio Power Stay mascara in this pic. It's been the only mascara that doesn't clump and smudge so far, if compared to other brands I've used before such as L'oreal Double Extension mascara and Maybelline Volume Express.

Transparent root falsies are highly recommended as it look much more natural than normal falsies.
I usually trim the fake lash into half as shown in the picture above.

Stick the partial lashes on the outer corner of the eyelids.
I personally think that it looks better than sticking full set of the lashes.

The result:

Lastly, the lips.

I'm using Maybelline Cranberry Jam lip balm for this entry. I have never used lip gloss as I really hate its sticky texture.
Alternatively, you can choose lipstick for a longer lasting colour on your lips.

The final outcome

I curled the lower end of my hair in this pic. No more messy auntie hairstyle :P

Before & after. Hope you will like both version of me? ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

XOXO
