F-o-o-dilicious ♥ Muar (Part One)

Now I don't know where to begin my post with all these food shots.

Beware! This post is all about foodddddddd. Kindly be informed that don't read it with your empty stomach

I think I shall start with the first day I visited boyfriend's house. We had our supper - Chicken Noodles @ Sixth Road. I forgot the shop name, it was located at the same row with Witchery Ider a.k.a Mori Cafe. I couldn't remember all the shops that I had visited, but I would always remember those best taste they gave me =)

Chicken Noodles @ Sixth Road - Thick noodles with shredded chicken on top of it. This noodles was slightly different with yellow noodles, it was flatter & broader than the latter one.

"Don't tell the others that you have visited Muar if you have never tasted otak-otak & chicken noodles." by my Hunny. You may disagree with him and probably there are lotsa delicacies inside your mind now which you think it could replace "chicken noodles" inside the statement, but it proves that Muar is really a food paradise!

Last week Hunny & I woke up 6.30 in the morning, just to taste the other chicken noodles which was strongly recommended by Hunny & most of the muar friends. We woke up so early because the stall started the business from around 4am to 8am only, so do remember to come earlier before it is sold out!

The chicken noodles stall.

We waited for almost 30 mins for it.

After the seasonings was mixed evenly with the noodles. Must try!

They served laksa too! This would be a nice try too :)

After the chicky one here comes the ducky one =D
The shop was located nearby the Tam Jiak Street if I was not mistaken.

I love the herb-braised duck meat. The soup that was served with the duck noodles together would leave you a mouthful of herb aroma. *thumbs up!*

I had tasted different wanton noodles from different hawkers in Muar. I think the best one was from...

My hometown, Pontian! =D
However, I shall admit that this Ah Peng Wanton Noodles (nearby Wetex Parade) from Muar could also compare with Pontian's famous wanton noodles too!

Ah Peng Wanton Mee

The spicy one.

I simply love this wanton so much!
The filing was more plump than Pontian wanton.

There was a stall selling otak-otak outside the shop, yet I think it was too oily.

I'm Monster Otak-otak! (I know it is lame)
I prefered the one which TanFei recommended. It was a residential house selling otak-otak opposite to the 100 badminton court. Less oily yet spicy enough.

Last weekend Hunny & I went yumcha with his buddies at the Yung Tau Foo stall opposite to Ah Peng Wanton Mee. Guess I spotted who @ Ah Peng Wonton Mee?

"I will spy on you until you finish your wonton mee, so don't let me find out you're with Jessica ah! I will tell YingYing!", said Jenny to TanFei. So you can rest assured, YingYing =P
"Don't have Jessica lar... Why don't you try this wonton mee? This is Muar most superbbbbb wonton mee u know!". I was glad that he didn't tell me like "This wonton mee is the WORLD BEST EVER noodles!", as he usually boasts like this XD

As you can see, one of the features of Muar is the boys here like to boast & exaggerate a.k.a 干炮(local languange of Muar) so much.
Best examples : my bf & TanFei.

Okay, continue with my food post =)

Asam fish @ Parit Jawa.
Reasonable price + fresh seafood = satisfying meal

Two picha only. I was too shy to take pic in front of hunny's buddies :$

That's all for now, stay tuned for more!

Mavala Milano

This is one of my favorite nail polish colors; Mavala's Milano.

(And of course I hit my finger into something before the nail polish had dried...)

Top picture with no flash and lower picture with flash.

I feel that Mavala's nail polishes dry fast. Majority of them do cover rather well with 1 coat and that's good.

Korean singer Micky Yoochun

Born on June 4, 1986, Micky Yoochun is a singer and a member of the famous Korean boy band, TVXQ (DBSK).From looking at this perspective, it seems that Micky has an oval shaped face. This allows Micky to almost try out any kind of haircut. In the picture above Micky has a medium haircut. Although light fringes, but heavy and puffy sides.

In this picture Micky changes his hairstyle a bit. From a medium hairstyle to a short haircut. He gels up his fringes for a cool effect and trims down his puffy sides.

Just another version of Micky's short haircut. Gelled/waxed up the fringes.Micky is definitely burning hot! =)

I’m Kinda Busy, K-kinda busy

Two midterm examinations and four part-time working days have made me too busy to update my blog. I just finished my Financial Accounting test yesterday and also Manangement test last Saturday. Also, I worked as a flyer distributor @ Modern Home Fair at MITC, Malacca from last Thursday to Sunday. It seems like I am being a busy working lady lately =P

I think I could still cope with my Management midterm test because I had made earlier preparations before I started my job @ home fair. Hope that I could get good result in both the exams *finger-crossed*

FYI, I have also gotten my not-so-satisfying MUET test result. 10 marks below the cut-off mark to get my desired grade - band 5. I could only blame myself for not doing well in speaking & writing part. *sigh* What is past history is history, what is done is finished, and bygones are bygones. We should move on to more important things in the future, aren't we?

Oh yeah, mentioned about my part-time job, here are some photos of my part-time job last week =)

The first day of the exhibition. Quiet and Desolate. I was working for IR Korea Deco which sold fully imported wall sticker from Korea during the exhibition.

Wondering what is a wall sticker? For instance:

Another flyer girl - LiBin. A kind and petite girl who made me egg sandwich as breakfast >3

Annyeong! He is Brian, my korean boss! Look at my bright smile, hehe =D

Eistein, another person in charge of IR Korea Deco :)

Cute portugal kid! He greeted "Merry Christmas!" to everyone when his parents told him to say "Hello!"

I had been mistaken by customers that I was a korean girl.

When I spoke Mandarin to serve a customer, he stepped backward and cried out loud:" Aren't you korean mui?!" with a cantonese slang. His reaction really LMAO. There were also customers who gave me some questions like:"Do you come from Korea?", "Can you speak Korean language?", as we were selling Korea wall sticker.

I don't think I resemble a Korean girl, though. Do I? =D

One of my favorites...

Hey everyone!
GDE Secretive to the lid. Just Bitten to the outer half or so.

Grimas matte dark red 545 to the outer corner and crease. Attempted sharp edge, but smudged it a little.

Grimas matte black 101 to the outer crease.

Black gel liner. Some matte black and red to the lower lash line.

What do you think? Any requests for me to do?

Korean singer Doojoon

Born on July 4, 1989, Doojoon Yoon is the leader and singer of the new and popular Korean boyband, "B2ST" (BEAST). Clearly Doo Joon has a heart shaped face. He has a wide forehead but a relatively narrow chin. But in contrast, Doo Joon likes to show his facial shape, and gets short haircuts with completely no fringes. In a sense he looks a lot like the other popular Korean singer, T.O.P..

In a way Doo Joon brings out the bright and cool look through his short mohawk style. Neat hmm?

Early on Doo Joon had fringes which acted like a cap for his forehead, while keeping his short haircut.Doo Joon's hairstyle covers one of the hottest hair trends in Korea to date.

Korean b-boy Jaybeom Park

Born on April 25, 1987, Park Jaybeom is a Korean American b-boy, singer, and former leader of the popular Korean boy group "2PM", the group with Nickhun and Taecyeon.CRAAZZY hairstyle right?!? Although Jaybeom has a Triangle shaped face, he still pulls out a sickkkk style with his mohawks. Jay often gets a short haircut with shaved sides to contain that b-boy image. =)Here's another closer look at Jay's short mohawk. To get his hairstyle, one would have to grow soem long fringes, and head to their professional hair salon for some hair trimming and scratches. There's only one word that describes Jay: STUD =) Here he gels up his fringes to make a full fohawk.

Korean singer Gyuri Park

Born on May 21, 1988, Gyuri Park is the leader of the popular Korean girl group, KARA. It seems as though Gyuri has the rectangular shaped face, or so it seems. In this photo she pretty much leaves out the fringes, to create a wavy long hairstyle.

Gyuri's hair is not too puffy, or not too light in volume. Her haircuts change from long to medium. She definitely had a perm for the ends of her hair to create that "wavy" look. She is obviously gorgeous! You do the evaluation :)

Yes! Gyuri does not abuse the law of fringes; she tends to avoid fringes at all times, by observing her images.

In a fashionable sense, one could describe Gyuri Park to have that "Goddess" look.
