F-o-o-dilicious ♥ Muar (Part One)

Now I don't know where to begin my post with all these food shots.

Beware! This post is all about foodddddddd. Kindly be informed that don't read it with your empty stomach

I think I shall start with the first day I visited boyfriend's house. We had our supper - Chicken Noodles @ Sixth Road. I forgot the shop name, it was located at the same row with Witchery Ider a.k.a Mori Cafe. I couldn't remember all the shops that I had visited, but I would always remember those best taste they gave me =)

Chicken Noodles @ Sixth Road - Thick noodles with shredded chicken on top of it. This noodles was slightly different with yellow noodles, it was flatter & broader than the latter one.

"Don't tell the others that you have visited Muar if you have never tasted otak-otak & chicken noodles." by my Hunny. You may disagree with him and probably there are lotsa delicacies inside your mind now which you think it could replace "chicken noodles" inside the statement, but it proves that Muar is really a food paradise!

Last week Hunny & I woke up 6.30 in the morning, just to taste the other chicken noodles which was strongly recommended by Hunny & most of the muar friends. We woke up so early because the stall started the business from around 4am to 8am only, so do remember to come earlier before it is sold out!

The chicken noodles stall.

We waited for almost 30 mins for it.

After the seasonings was mixed evenly with the noodles. Must try!

They served laksa too! This would be a nice try too :)

After the chicky one here comes the ducky one =D
The shop was located nearby the Tam Jiak Street if I was not mistaken.

I love the herb-braised duck meat. The soup that was served with the duck noodles together would leave you a mouthful of herb aroma. *thumbs up!*

I had tasted different wanton noodles from different hawkers in Muar. I think the best one was from...

My hometown, Pontian! =D
However, I shall admit that this Ah Peng Wanton Noodles (nearby Wetex Parade) from Muar could also compare with Pontian's famous wanton noodles too!

Ah Peng Wanton Mee

The spicy one.

I simply love this wanton so much!
The filing was more plump than Pontian wanton.

There was a stall selling otak-otak outside the shop, yet I think it was too oily.

I'm Monster Otak-otak! (I know it is lame)
I prefered the one which TanFei recommended. It was a residential house selling otak-otak opposite to the 100 badminton court. Less oily yet spicy enough.

Last weekend Hunny & I went yumcha with his buddies at the Yung Tau Foo stall opposite to Ah Peng Wanton Mee. Guess I spotted who @ Ah Peng Wonton Mee?

"I will spy on you until you finish your wonton mee, so don't let me find out you're with Jessica ah! I will tell YingYing!", said Jenny to TanFei. So you can rest assured, YingYing =P
"Don't have Jessica lar... Why don't you try this wonton mee? This is Muar most superbbbbb wonton mee u know!". I was glad that he didn't tell me like "This wonton mee is the WORLD BEST EVER noodles!", as he usually boasts like this XD

As you can see, one of the features of Muar is the boys here like to boast & exaggerate a.k.a 干炮(local languange of Muar) so much.
Best examples : my bf & TanFei.

Okay, continue with my food post =)

Asam fish @ Parit Jawa.
Reasonable price + fresh seafood = satisfying meal

Two picha only. I was too shy to take pic in front of hunny's buddies :$

That's all for now, stay tuned for more!
