Recreation: MAC Pink Freeze

I had a look at MAC's facecharts... I wanted to recreate a look from there.

My version:

I used:

2 Inglot shadows (both greens)

NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil Milk 

matte white eyeshadow by Grimas

glittery white eyeshadow by Lumene Natural Code

GDE MIngles

MAC Blacktrack fluidline

Estee Lauder lengthening, smudge-proof mascara

Max Factor Masterpiece mascara

First I applied NYX eyeshadow pencil, Milk. I took the lighter green Inglot shadow with Sigma's E35, a tapered blending brush and applied the green to the crease and a little on the brow bone. I took a matte white by Grimas and applied that all over my lid.

I took some darker green with the same E35 and applied that on top of the lighter green, but just to the crease.

I took a glittery white shadow by Lumene natural code from the punk palette and applied that with an E25 by Sigma. I used the E25 for the matte white as well.

I took a flat eyeshadow brush and took GDE MIngles, a matte blue and applied that a little on my crease and lower, but so that it doesn't cover the white on the lid completely. 

I used MAC's Blacktrack fluidline to line my eyes. I took some matte black by Grimas and applied that on my lower lashline. Apparently the eyeliner brush (Sigma's E05) slipped a little because there's a very thin line that shouldn't be there. :D

I put Estee Lauder's lengthening, smudge-proof mascara. Then I added Max Factor's Masterpiece.

Recreation - oranges and pinks/reds

I saw this post by Phyrra and I told her I'd do something like that on Tuesday, as in today.

I used Jailhouse Jumpsuit by GDE and a matte pinkish red eyeshadow (nr. 545) by Grimas.

To the lower lash line I used GDE Dusk mixed with NYX trio eyeshadow Rock&Roll palettes gray eyeshadow. I guess I could've used a purple like Phyrra or just simply a black, but I wanted to use something else this time.

I lined my eyes with MUS black gel eyeliner.

Also the lower and upper waterlines (or tightline), whatever it is. What is it by the way?

I will fix the lower waterline before I leave... with a pencil eyeliner. So much better for that.

The lowest picture I took in natural light. The rest I took when I was standing by the window, but with a flash and the cuisine-program. The more closer it gets to summer the better the pictures turn out... :D Otherwise I'd with it would be a snowy winter for the whole year!

MAC face charts in real life - 1st recreation

See, a while ago I stumbled upon a makeup blog, where I found a link to MAC face charts.

Well, what do you know, I decided to pick one face chart and recreate that look as well as possible to my blog. I only have two MAC products, one being a paint pot (Delft) and one an eyeshadow (Cranberry) so I had to use other products.

I used an intense blue by Glamour Doll Eyes called MIngles. I have other blues but they weren't intense enough.

On the lid and as a highlight I used a shimmery warm golden beige.

And then some black mascara on the upper and lower lashes.

This looks is the 36th look on the first page, if I counted correctly.

Soonish I'll be writing a blogpost about something that I found from Fashioned in Finland's blog recently. More on that later. I'm testing it out right this second. Well, I started last night, but I'll be testing it for a couple days still cause I want to see if it really is as good as it seems right now.

Well? Should I do these more often?

Tutorial - Recreation of MissChievous' Dark Androgynous look

This look is a recreation of this look. It's by a youtube makeup guru MissChievous.

Final result. Not an everyday makeup look for sure! But great still.


And this is how you do it:

I used NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Black bean as a base. I put some MAC Delft paint pot on top of that. Don't worry, it looks like a mess, but it will end up looking great. :D

Dusk by Glamour Doll in the crease using like a windshield wiper motion, like so.

If you can, add some black base to your lower lash line and some eyeshadow you wish to use in the crease. I'm not using the exact same products as Julia/MissChievous because I don't have them, so you can replase all the products by what you have of course.

Take a soft black liner pencil and put that on your lid, not just a small thin line, but on your entire lid up to the crease. Pat it down with a finger and blend the line a little with the eyeshadow in the crease. Then I put some matte black eyeshadow by Grimas on top of the black liner.

If you feel like you didn't put enough of eyeshadow in the crease feel free to add some. I did.

Line your lower lash line and lower water line with a black pencil liner, add some matte black eyeshadow to set it. I have some Dusk and NYX's Black bean in there as well.

Take a skin colored eyeshadow to clean up and blend the outlines and possible mess you made! I sure did.

Make sure your eyebrows are strong and clean looking. Add a highlight of choice below your brows. I used Grimas' matte offwhite.

Add some mascara to both upper and lower lashes.
